Mined from eroded lava beds in Brazilian plateaus, this agate displays a rainbow of colors primarily derived from iron. The colors are usually reds, browns and yellows in multi-layered bands and plumes. Agate was known and used by the ancients. They believed it had the power to drive away evil and bring good luck.
